Who We Are

Dick and Nell Stanley, just trying to have some fun with the internet. After creating
websites for our 2 major hobbies - genealogy and horses - we decided it was time
for something totally different. Other than the Forums we host on this site, we have
no idea where this is going, so please bear with us

Where We Are

We live in the Tampa Bay Area, Florida - Spring Hill to be precise.

When we moved here in 1986, it was a rural area. It is still called rural in spite of the fact that we now have traffic jams right around the corner.

Then the common lot size was 5 acres, nowadays it's 1 acre. Then you could jump on your horse and ride around for hours...now you have to trailer your horse to a park so you can ride.

The average price for property in 1986 was $5,000 per acre, now it's on average $35,000.

We even have a hospital and several medical facilities just 5 minutes down the road! That is what I call progress...or is it?

Did I mention that there used to be lakes here? Now we just have the signs with the lakes' names...so that we know what was...before progress came to this area.

Find out how "hep" you are on the subject: Take the quiz! After that, check with the Identity Theft Resource Center to see what you can do to help yourself - before and after the fact.

Spam

While most of us "suffer in silence" (i.e. hitting the delete key), some actually do take action. Other than complaining with the ISP whose mail server was used to originate the spam, you can file a complaint at the FCC.
